During the audio workshop I learnt there’s a few more things I need to work on to insure that I have a strong understanding of best audio recording techniques and tricks to help make sure that not only this production but future productions go smoothly, The main one is keeping the vocal levels around -12 db and above that way I have a crisp clear track for the vocals, another thing I learnt that helped with making sure audio goes well is that we can remove the sound of the fridge in the background of our location in post audio mixing software which helped me relax a little as I was extremely worried about the fans and constant buzzing. As for equipment we will be using is two Sennheiser radio mics, one on each talent and a Sennheiser boom to capture master audio running into a Zoom F8.
It came down to almost last minute getting our audio recordist as of location and time of shooting but luckily, we got Patrick Barraclough, not only enthusiastic about working on our film, but he was amazingly organised, prepared and most of all recorded great audio on set as well as uploading it and getting it back to us in an extremely fast manner, a great member of the crew.
Audio is the most important part of any film and I believe we were able to get great audio from set which will help in our final edit.
